Comrade AbdulSalaam Tijani, President of the union, coordinated the exercise, sharing that a total of 380 individuals, including 80 union members and 300 community residents, benefited from two distinct food packs.

One pack contained cooked jollof rice with chicken, a bottle of water, and a soft drink, while the other included items such as indomie noodles, spaghetti, sugar, and seasonings.

The generous initiative was made possible through sponsorship from Prince (Barr.) Adeleke Aroyewun, Sen. Olafare Comfort, and Mr. Kayode Anibaba, the Convener of Wave Shift Foundation for Social Impact.

Comrade Tijani emphasized the union’s commitment to reaching out to its members and residents during the holiday season, stating, “We are doing this today in commemoration of Boxing Day, which calls for sharing gifts and caring for those in need.”

He further explained, “We are reaching out to our members who are across tertiary institutions across the country but are back home on holidays, in commemoration of the Boxing Day. Kindly accept the little that we are offering.
