Igando-Ikotun Begins Drainage Construction at Fagbile Estate

The Chairman of Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area Mr. Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, has embarked on drainage construction in Fagbile Isheri Osun; at a point connecting other communities in the council area.

Ultimately, a long-lasting solution is found for the Fagbile road, which has been repaired numerous times in the past but keeps collapsing because there is no drainage system.

It attempts to prevent the area’s recurring flooding and the resulting damage to the roads.

Currently, the project is in its first phase, which entails building the drainage systems, and its second phase consists of leveling the road grade.

Echo news reports that the project has the potential to benefit everyone in the area as it will reduce damages caused by flooding, transportation-related expenditures and ease movement for commuters across the area.

The Chairman’s proactive approach to tackling the challenges posed by the drainage system is garnering support from the local community.

 Residents and stakeholders are expressing their appreciation for the government’s responsiveness to their concerns and the efforts being made to create a cleaner and more efficient living environment.
