In a show of strong support and solidarity, members of the South-South People’s United Forum, a sociopolitical organization affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, converged on the office of the Chairman in overwhelming numbers.
Led by their executive committee (Exco), they passionately sang songs of support and praise, extolling the leadership qualities of Comrade Akinsanya and Mrs. Mojisola Badmus, who they urged to continue in their positions for a second term.
Comrade Akinsanya, speaking at the local government secretariat, expressed deep appreciation for the unwavering support of the South-South members during his campaign journey.
“The incredible turnout of South-South members during my campaign was remarkable. It demonstrates their commitment and dedication to our party. I am humbled and confident that our party has strong allies in the South-South community,” he said.
Those who spoke said the endorsement of both Chairman and his Vice Chairman was a show of appreciation for how the South South has been carried along in key decision making and appointments in Igando-Ikotun LCDA
His words: “We are endorsing both Akinsanya and Mojisola, because we want to show our people and our party that we are for them. Everyone from the south south living in Igando-Ikotun is ready and prepared to deliver and support our party.
He further said that the group has a committee that will embark on a house-to-house campaign until the day of the election.
