Idimogu declares annual prize for best nurse

The member of Lagos House of Assembly representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II, Hon. Jude Idimogu has promised cash prizes to outstanding nurses of the General Hospital, Isolo.

Speaking during the first annual nurses scientific conference of the hospital’s chapter of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives tagged “Transforming Nursing Future: Challenges, Innovation And Best Practices”, the lawmaker said he would continue to support the nurses and other health workers.

 

While commending the nurses for their excellent performances, Idimogu promised to give them cash prizes to encourage best practices among them.

He said: “For the importance of this conference, I will be having annual award for the best nurses of Isolo General Hospital throughout my tenure. The 1st will go home with N150,000, the 2nd N100,000 and the 3rd N50,000.

 

Meanwhile, Idimogu was given an award of recognition as the best Honourable of Isolo General Hospital by the management.

Also speaking on the conference, the Apex Nurse of Isolo General Hospital, Mrs. Elizabeth Boateng said the conference would transform the future of nurses by keeping them abreast of the best practices of the profession.

 

“The conference has been holding at the state level and some chapters, but here in Isolo General Hospital, it is the maiden edition.

 

Extolling the virtues of Hon. Idimogu, Mrs Boateng praised for his regular visits to the sick and the financial assistance to the needy.

“In fact, he is generous and accessible. He comes to the hospital regularly to visit the sick people and each time he comes, he pays up the hospital bills of some patients and empowers some who are desperately in need of help.”

She said Hon.Idimogu’s promise of cash prizes will encourage the nurses.” You can see his generosity of cash award will encourage and commit them to be the best.”
