“We Are Helping in Keeping Lagos Cleaner” – Recycling Expert

In the relentless effort of the Lagos State Government to keep Lagos clean and the environment friendly, in the transformation agenda of the state, being a Mega – City, a recycling expert at Specialty Pulp and Paper Limited, says the Company is helping in keeping Lagos cleaner and driving the state forward towards achieving the Mega City status.
As a state, widely acknowledged to be the Capital of Africa and the Centre of business on the Continent, Lagos State Government had been taking various effective means of containing refuses in the state. But, while some urban areas in the state had completely dealt with refuse management some rural areas are still finding the way out of the ugly situation.
A representative, of a Refuse Recycling Company, the Specialty Pulp and Paper Limited, with collection Centre at Isolo Industrial Estate, profound recycling all kinds of refuse, as a better way of subduing waste challenges in the state; explained the process and its benefits of waste management.
An Expert in Waste Recycle, who wants to remain anonymous, authoritatively said it is a means of collecting wastes of various kinds in large quantities to transform them to what can be reused. “Recycling involves collecting waste {used things} such as papers, tins, nylon, pet bottles, conjugated irons…etc. and transforming them to what can be useful again after they undergo thorough refining.”
He said the benefits of recycling is the reproduction of new things from wastes. On the relevance of recycling to meet with the status of a mage city, he said his company is helping the government in sanitizing the state to achieve it mega city vision.
“Our aim is to make profit from refuses, after trader the debri with those who bring them in. Because of our trading, we are contributing our quota to making the state cleaner.” Implored the government to establish public recycling centers, to partner with the private sector, he notes the employment opportunity available to residents of Lagos State.
