Family, Friends, Political Associates bid Late Mrs. Williams Final Rest-on Journey

The Chairman of Igando Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Comr. Lasisi Akinsanya has commiserated with the former Igando-Ikotun Chairman, Late Morenike Williams, saying she lived an extraordinary life.

Akinsanya stated that late Mrs. Williams commanded greater attention through the way she carried herself while alive and the high values she exemplified.

“Her knowledge and experience-driven leadership and the counsel she provided were always with unfailing humility concern and courteousness. These were the unique virtues that underpinned her extraordinary achievements.”

Family, friends and political associates gathered to bid her a farewell as she was laid to rest in Ondo State.

The family held a three-day funeral rite which began on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 in her honour.

The funeral service was held at the Saint John Anglican Church in Akoko, Ondo State.

She was buried at Ogbaji Akoko in Ondo State on Friday, August 11, 2023.
