Ensure strict compliance with laid down rules, regulation – Rep Bamidele Salam tasks Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Cup organising committee

House of Representatives member representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Rep Bamidele Salam has tasked the committee in charge of the third Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Cup to ensure a successful competition in strict compliance with laid down rules and regulations.

Salam, stated this on Tuesday, in Ede, during an official event unveiling the new logo for the Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Cup. The astute Politician stressed that Organising a successful competition will bring about more positive outcome in years to come.

The Journalist cum Politician reiterated his commitments towards providing a chance for young footballers to showcase their skills and access local and global opportunities in the field of soccer through the yearly Football Competition and further noted that the tournament is carrying the crest of a man who was selfless, noble, upright and self-effacing during his lifetime, hence the need to have an impressive outing.

“I sincerely want to appreciate everyone who is involved in the organisation of this year’s tournament. It is a huge task and one that must be taken with a lot of discipline and commitment.

“I want to call on all Local Organising Committee to ensure that the value is held. No room for any kind of favouritism, no matter how little. While I want my team from Egbedore to win, I want to say it here clearly that they deserve no favour in anyway. There should be a level playing ground for all participants. Integrity is very key.” He concluded.

The Competition will kick off on September 4th 2022 and end on the 15th of January 2023.

The Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Cup Competition was initiated by Honourable Bamidele Salam in the year 2020, to immortalize the selfless, philanthropic service of the first civilian Governor of Osun State, who was a former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and an astute Politician when he was alive.

The third edition of the Competition has being expanded to involve selected Football Clubs from the 30 Local Governments in Osun State and the Ife East Area Office.
