Ejigbo CDC Holds interdenominational Prayers To Promote Peaceful Co-existence

As part of its efforts towards contributing to a peaceful, stable and flourishing society, the Community Development Committee (CDC), Ejigbo LCDA Branch, has recently organised an interdenominational prayer session tagged “Ejigbo Pray Iwure”.

Themed “Let Our Nation Be Peaceful, Stable and Flourish”, the prayer session was held at the Ejigbo Town Hall, Lafenwa.

The prayers were said in Islamic, Christian and Traditional ways.

The Islamic prayer was led by Alh. Abdul Semiu Oyebo and his team. The Christian prayer was led by Rev. Dr. Steven Oyinlola and his team. While the Traditional prayer was led by Oloye Monsuru Saula and his team.

Speaking at the event, the Council Vice Chairman, Hon. Ayodele Ayodeji, enjoined everyone to sincerely partake in praying for the Local Council, the State and the nation at large, saying a peaceful, stable and flourishing society would have a direct effect on the families and individuals living therein.

Ayodeji, who doubles as the Supervisor for Health, spoke on behalf of the council Chairman, Alh. Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello (Obe).

On his part, the CDC Chairman, Prince Jelili Atiku, encouraged those leading the prayers to make it intense, stating that prayer goes a long way in the success of any Government and in life generally.
