Elizabeth Olayemi, widow of late gospel musician Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, broke down in tears on Tuesday as she pleaded with her deceased husband not to forget her and their children.
Elizabeth made the emotional appeal during the singer’s tribute night and service of songs held in Ibadan, Oyo State, on October 27, 2026. The event was attended by prominent artistes and other guests who gathered to honour the late gospel musician.
Speaking through tears, the widow said she would continue to miss her husband and appealed to him to remember the family they shared.
“Toluwanisings, my dear husband, I will forever miss you. Please don’t forget your children and me,” she said.
Her emotional tribute comes amid reports of a disagreement between her and members of her late husband’s family over where he should be buried.
Viral reports circulating online claim that Elizabeth opposed a proposal to bury the singer at the Ibadan home where he lived with his wife and children, saying she preferred that he be laid to rest in a cemetery.
The burial disagreement has drawn public attention as the family continues to navigate arrangements following the gospel singer’s death.
