David Dosu Emerges Chairman of Lagos State Football Coaches Association

Former Chairman of the Ikeja Football Coaches Council, David Dosu, popularly known as Apelete, has emerged as the new Chairman of the Lagos State Football Coaches Association (LSFCA).

Dosu was declared the winner by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Lanre Olojo-Kosoko, at the association’s recently concluded elections held at the NIS Conference Hall.

The election featured 13 candidates contesting for the 12 executive positions. It was monitored by national officers of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, alongside coordinators of the Southwest Zone of the national body.

Dosu, who contested for the chairmanship position, polled 42 votes and was declared winner unopposed.

The position of Training Officer witnessed the only closely contested race, with Fatai Akande defeating Abiodun Salau. Akande secured 40 votes, while Salau polled 2 votes.

Other elected executives include Ibiyemi Adeleke, popularly known as Pepper, who emerged First Vice Chairman unopposed with 42 votes, while Uchenna Samuel Eke was elected Second Vice Chairman, also unopposed, with 42 votes.

Musbau Oseni emerged Secretary with 42 votes, while Babalola Issa was elected Assistant Secretary with 41 votes.

In other positions, Victor Akinmoyo emerged Financial Secretary with 42 votes, while Ajayi Adekunle was elected Treasurer with 41 votes. Micheal Bagbe emerged Public Relations Officer (PRO) with 42 votes.

Savage Yusuf was elected Assistant Training Officer with 42 votes, while Abel Sohe emerged Social Secretary/Welfare Officer with 42 votes.

Completing the list of elected executives, Olorunmbe Rafiu was elected Provost with 42 votes.

With the successful conclusion of the elections, the new LSFCA executive is expected to begin work towards strengthening the welfare, development and professional interests of football coaches across Lagos State.
