Councillors hail chairman over official cars

On behalf of the Councillors of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, the leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Victor Onifade, has commended the chairman, Prince Usman Hamzat for the official vehicle given to councillors for administrative convenience.

According to the chairman, the  gesture was aimed at aiding administrative work while enhancing positive output of good governance especially towards result-oriented legislative activities in Ifako-Ijaiye.

He reiterated that the presentation of the official cars was symbolic, as it was the first time all councillors in the Local Government would get Sport-Utility Vehicles (SUV) “Jeeps” for administrative conveniences.

The Leader and Deputy Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Victor Onifade and Hon. Jelili Adetunji (from Ward F and Ward A respectively) both received Toyota Highlander SUVs each, while other members of the Legislative Arm received Toyota Lexus 350 SUVs.

Other councillors who also received the official vehicles were Hon. Sholola Oluwole, Chairman House Committee on Environment from ward B, Hon. Sharafadeen Bola Kareem the Chief Whip from ward C1 and Hon. Ibrahim Oriyomi Adenekan, Chairman House Committee on Infrastructure from Ward C2, Hon. Olaleye Aremu, the Majority Leader from Ward D and Hon. Adebo Kayode, the deputy Chief Whip from Ward E.

The presentation held at the council secretariat as Hamzat officially presented the car keys to each of the councillors.
