Council leader donates 300 blocks for reconstruction of drainage

The councilor representing Illamoshe ward and  doubles as the council leader, Hon. Olanrewaju Akinbowale (Larry) has donated 300 9inches blocks to AbiodunAdesugba Street in Illamoshe to aid the reconstruction of a failed drainage system.

The dilapidated drainage has been affecting the road, making it impassable as flood overflows from the gutter onto the road.

The councillor said the road has been in a bad state for over two years, noting that it would be better if the falling drainage was fixed.

He said he had  to provide the blocks to rehabilitate the drainage on the request of the community.

According to him, the service  is a give back to the residents who voted him to represent them at the local council as a councillor.

Akinbowale pledged that he would continue to try his best to make sure his ward gets better during his tenure.

The community leaders and other residents have commended the councillor for the gesture as they prayed for more developmental projects in their ward.
