Community applauds Presken for fulfilling promise to desilt drains

The residents of Old Ewu/Ogunyinka has appreciated the management of Presken Hotel and Suites, Mafoluku Oshodi for fulfilling its promise to desilt drains blocked by the hotel building.

The Chairman of the Community Development Association (CDA), Elder Gbemisoye Oyetunde said the quick response of the hotel management to the issue would further strengthen their relationship with the people in their business environment.

He said the action was a form of the hotel’s corporate social responsibility {CSR) which is expected from other companies operating in one community or the other within Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area.

Oyetunde, who gave the reports to the Community Development Committee (CDC) with pictures, was asked by the CDC Secretary, Chief Israel Orija, to back it up with a letter as the CDC also commended the effort.

Meanwhile, ECHONEWS gathered from the hotel management that the sum of N102, 500 was spent on the evacuation exercise, noting that N90, 000 was expended on labour, N12, 500 to purchase 30 pieces of sack and payment of disposal bill to LAWMA.
