Christmas: Nollywood Queens To Display Fascinating Movies

This coming Christmas, some exciting and mind-blowing movies will be displayed on our screen. All thanks to Nollywood’s queens: Funke Akindele, Mercy Aigbe, Jade Osiberu, and Toyin Abraham.

These amazing female filmmakers are here to serve drama, outstanding storytelling, laughter and tears with an incredible cast line-up.

The filmmakers are breaking bar in the industry that don’t always give credits to female directors. The women are influencing direction of Nollywood, and are paving way for future generations.

Let’s get into what these amazing women are about to release this festive season.

Funke Akindele- Everybody Loves Jenifa ( December 13) In Everybody Loves Jenifa Funke Akindele brings her chaotic character and also her humor. The movie is bringing back both old cast and new cast like Olayode Julianna, Falz, Omotunde “Lolo” Adebowale-David along with new cast Layi Wasabi, Chimezie Imo, Bisola Aiyeola, Omowunmi Dada, Jackie Appiah.

Mercy Aigbe – Thin Line ( December 13) Mercy Aigbe is back to keep the festive season alive with her project Thin Line. Her as the producer, Kazim Adeoti as the executive producer, and cast line-up like Iyabo Ojo, Olaiya Igwe, Daniella Peters, Nkechi Blessing, Uche Montana, The cute Abiola, Adeniyi Johnson.

Jade Osiberu- Christmas In Lagos (December 20) she is back with an interesting love story. This movie is about someone friends one who is heartbroken and is searching for true love, one who is about to take relationship to the next level, one who is confused to make a choice and one who just want to make unforgettable December. The cast include Teniola Aladese, Shaffy Bello, Richard Mofe Damijo, Adekunle Gold, Wale Ojo, Ladipoe, and Arya Star.

Toyin Abraham – Alakada: Bad and Boujee (December 20) Alakada is a comedy series, it was introduced to the audience in the year 2009, where Toyin Abraham played the role of Yetunde Animashaun. She was raised in a poverty background but when she got into campus, she made up complex tale about her social status and riches to move around with influential people.
