The Leventis Foundation Nigeria (LFN) has opened applications for its 2026 Agribusiness Access to Capital Programme.

This offering gives current and former trainees of its agricultural training schools an opportunity to access up to ₦5 million in start-up or business expansion capital.

The initiative is designed to help young agribusiness entrepreneurs turn their agricultural knowledge and business ideas into sustainable ventures while providing the management skills, mentorship and support needed to grow existing businesses.

According to the Foundation, the programme will provide concessionary business start-up and expansion capital, alongside business management training, mentorship and other forms of business support.

What the Programme Offers

Successful applicants will have access to support designed to strengthen their entrepreneurial and business management capacity.

Key benefits include:

  • Up to ₦5 million in start-up or business expansion capital.
  • Business management training covering areas such as planning, finance, marketing and operations.
  • Mentorship from experienced professionals and entrepreneurs.
  • Support to develop or improve a viable business plan.
  • Preparation for a competitive business pitching process.
  • Business support to help participants establish or expand sustainable agribusiness ventures.

The funding may be provided through grant awards or business financing, depending on the applicable selection and funding criteria. Applicants should therefore note that submitting an application does not automatically guarantee funding.
