The losses were said to have been mitigated due to Bello’s visit to the market yesterday with the disbursement of relieving funds in the presence of the market leaders.

While presenting the funds, the council chairman urged the Iyaloja, Babaloja and all traders at the market to be cautious to prevent a repeat of the incident.

He advised them to make it a habit of checking their surroundings, especially at the closing hours at night and be on the lookout to spot any of the traders who may fail to put off electric appliances, light and other things that could cause such disaster.

In their response, the Iyaloja and Babaloja gave kudos to the kind gesture by the local council boss, while tasking him to do more for them in the market.
