Be Proud Ambassadors of Oshodi, Ogundipe Urges Students

The member representing Oshodi-Isolo constituency I at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode challenged students of Ikeja Grammar School, Bolade-Oshodi to always be proud of their neighborhood, be good ambassadors by acting and carrying themselves in a way that reflects the community.

Ogundipe made this call at the 2023 annual inter-house sports ceremony held of the school at the weekend.

He said “I am always proud of Oshodi anytime,any day and anywhere. I never for once regretted being born, bred and brought up in Oshodi for once rather it is an advantage.

The background made us to be resolute and focused on our studies and education. Today, many of us that grew up are glad we did and to the glory of God, many of us are doing well in our various callings. Research showed that many of the children born in highbrow areas with silver spoons don’t really fair better in achievements and success. Shun cultism and violence and be good ambassadors of Oshodi” Ogundipe charged the students.”

He assured the students that as their lawmaker, he will lobby the Speaker of the state Assembly, Rt Hon (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa and many other members to witness again the school sports fiesta in Oshodi before leaving office.

While responding to the keynote address, the Host Principal Mrs Owuma S B poured encomiums on the Chairman of the occasion.

She expressed her happiness and joy for his physical presence at the occasion which means so much to her and her colleagues. “Your presence here today is a motivating factor to us here and we are so glad to see you. You have proven to be a man of your words and we are indeed very grateful for that.” Mrs Onwuma said.
