A group, Atiku Mandate 2019, Lagos branch, has inaugurated its ward coordinators in Oshodi Local Government Area, Isolo and Ejigbo Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) of Lagos State.

The group is a political movement, launched for the political aspiration of the former Nigerian Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, with the aim of facilitating positive results in all its branches in all states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

Speaking at the event, the coordinator for the councils, Dr. Kayode Ojikutu, said that the group was not affiliated to any political party in the country, but would work assiduously to realise the presidential ambition of Atiku, irrespective of the political platform he chooses to realise his ambition.

Ojikutu made the clarion call to the ward coordinators and women leaders to be committed and be sincere in their dealing with the people at the grassroots, stressing that every individual’s contribution towards the realisation of the group’s objectives would be rewarded.

He further disclosed that it was not difficult convincing the people to join the group and work to realise the political aspiration of Atiku because of his philanthropic gestures and kindheartedness to Nigerians, assuring the former vice president that the group would work selflessly to help realise his presidential ambition.

“You can see from the enthusiasm here that the people of Oshodi, Isolo and Ejigbo are people who are very organised and solidly behind the ambition of Alhaji Atiku.

“The ward coordinators here have been overwhelming in their commitment so far. As a group, we are ready to work to realise the ambition of former vice president, you can see the commitment of the people through the question they ask in the meeting. Even if he does not get the ticket in PDP we would work with him anywhere he goes to.

“Atiku is a sellable candidate, he is a nice person and grounded politically and he is the best candidate to rule this country. He is a founding member of PDP, and I want to assure him that this time around his ambition of being the president would be realised in this country. I am sure that these coordinators would go back to the grassroots and work with the people, they are on ground to realise the ambition of this group,” Ojitiku said.

A political leader and coordinator in Oshodi, Princess Olamide Olabode, said that the coordinators were passionate about working toward realising the political ambition of the former vice president, stressing that all the coordinators were experienced politicians in the grassroots in the councils.
