Ariyoh charges APC leaders to leverage on party’s victory

The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh has called on the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oshodi to jettison caucuses and come together for the progress of the party at the constituency.

Addressing the party leaders during the analysis of the last elections at the executive chamber of the local government Secretariat, Ariyoh said there is the need for them to leverage on the victory of the party at the polls, saying the unity of the party would sustain its earned victories.

He added that the shortcomings of the party during the previous elections needed to be avoided to avert future occurrence of what affected the party in the past which arose as a result of disunity among party leaders.

Ariyoh, who appreciated the leaders for their leadership role and experience they exemplified during the elections through which the party was able to record victories in all the electoral outings, noted that the success was a product of collective efforts, which everybody embraced at the end.

He said: “Everyone wants to be associated with success while failure is seen as an orphan because nobody prays or wishes to fail in their endeavours.

“It is on this premise I congratulate our leaders on the success the party recorded at the polls, courtesy of the exemplary and leadership dexterity you all (leaders) exhibited in your various wards.

“I implore you all to continue with the team spirit displayed before and during the polls through which the party was able to record the victory. Peace and unity are very essential for any organization to achieve its aim as seen in the last election.

“I want all the rank and file of the party to continue in this spirit of unity and love through which the party can keep waxing stronger in tandem with the axiom that in unity we stand and divided we fall.”

The LG Chairman also used the avenue to assure the leaders of his determination and commitment to the development of Oshodi as some of his developmental plans for the local government were unveiled.

The leaders in attendance at the meeting unanimously appreciated the efforts and contributions of the council chairman towards the much-celebrated victory of the party at the last election, assuring him of their renewed commitment to peace and unity of the party above personal or caucus interest.

They, however, called on the elected candidates of the party to work in unity and ensure greater developments are brought to Oshodi community.

“All the candidates should work together and particularly with the government at the grassroots for the people to enjoy the dividend of democracy more now than before.  We want the development of the  community to be looked  into than before and also the work load should not be left only to the local government, let’s see federal government’s and state government’s presence in our local government,” the leaders jointly voiced out.
