Apply for NFSP Family Support Programme, Get Up to ₦100,000 Monthly
The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced plans for the National Family Strengthening and Development Programme (NFSP).
This is an initiative designed to address poverty, strengthen family relationships and improve the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians.
The programme was unveiled as part of the government’s broader efforts to protect vulnerable households, promote family cohesion and tackle social challenges, including domestic violence and weak family support systems. Its first phase was expected to target more than five million Nigerians, according to an announcement reported by the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
However, claims circulating online that the programme offers beneficiaries up to ₦100,000 monthly have not been independently confirmed through an official government application notice.
What Is the National Family Strengthening and Development Programme?
The NFSP is intended to strengthen families and communities through interventions addressing poverty, family welfare, child protection and social development.
The initiative reflects the government’s stated commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and improving conditions for families facing economic and social difficulties.
The programme is also expected to encourage collaboration among government agencies, civil society organisations, traditional and religious leaders, development partners and community groups to address challenges affecting Nigerian households.
Who May Benefit?
The programme is intended to support vulnerable Nigerians and families facing economic hardship. However, detailed eligibility criteria for a public application process have not been verified through an official NFSP application announcement.
An online report lists Nigerian citizenship and an age range of 18 to 65 among its stated registration requirements. These conditions should not be treated as confirmed government eligibility rules until independently verified.
Is the ₦100,000 Monthly Support Confirmed?
At the time of writing, no official source reviewed for this report confirmed that the NFSP pays beneficiaries up to ₦100,000 monthly. The payment amount, duration, selection process and funding arrangements therefore remain unverified.
Nigerians interested in the programme should monitor announcements from the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and other relevant government agencies for authentic information about registration and benefits.
The National Cash Transfer Office also advises citizens to beware of fraudulent social intervention schemes. According to the office, the Federal Government does not require citizens to pay money to access its cash-transfer benefits.
Important notice: Prospective beneficiaries should verify any registration portal through official government channels before submitting personal information or banking details. Do not pay an application or processing fee based solely on an online advertisement.
