Alimosho Council Boss Assures Residents Of Quality Healthcare

In a deliberate push to deepen collaboration and improve healthcare for residents, the Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of Alimosho General Hospital, Dr. Akinyele Akinlade, led members of the Hospital Management Committee on courtesy visits to key community leaders this week.
The team first called on the Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Johnson. Dr. Akinlade described the engagement as a strategic step toward building a stronger partnership between the hospital and the local government. Healthcare delivery, he noted, thrives on collaboration. Working closely with the council, he said, would enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide quality, accessible, and people-centred services to the people of Alimosho.
He praised the Chairman for his commitment to grassroots development and affirmed the hospital’s readiness to partner on initiatives that improve public health outcomes.
Hon. Johnson welcomed the delegation warmly and commended Alimosho General Hospital for the essential role it continues to play in safeguarding residents’ health. A healthy population, he observed, remains fundamental to sustainable development. The local government, he assured, is committed to supporting programmes, community outreach, and other interventions that strengthen healthcare across the area. Both parties used the meeting to explore areas of mutual interest and reaffirm their shared resolve to expand access to care.
Later, the hospital management team paid a similar visit to the Oba of Igando Land, His Royal Highness Oba Lasisi Gbadebo Gbadamosi. Dr. Akinlade thanked the traditional ruler for his sustained interest in the hospital’s progress and formally invited him to the forthcoming Stakeholders’ Forum. He expressed confidence that the monarch’s presence would enrich discussions aimed at advancing healthcare delivery in the community.
Oba Gbadamosi responded by restating his deep commitment to the hospital, describing it as a vital institution serving Igando and its surrounding communities. His continued support, he indicated, remains assured.
Together, the two engagements underscored a clear message: effective healthcare in Alimosho depends on strong partnerships between the hospital, local government, and traditional institutions.
