AJATTA ENDORSES BAMIGBETAN FOR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Former two-term member of the House of Representatives for Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II, Hon. Jaiyeola Ajatta, has endorsed frontline aspirant Kehinde Bamigbetan for the House of Representatives seat, pledging full support for his aspiration ahead of the forthcoming party primaries.
Ajatta made the declaration during a courtesy visit by Bamigbetan, assuring him of his commitment to mobilising party members across Ajao Estate and the entire constituency to ensure his victory at the primaries.
According to the former lawmaker, Bamigbetan has earned the right to contest the seat, having distinguished himself through years of dedicated service to both the party and the community.
He praised Bamigbetan’s achievements as Chairman of the Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), citing initiatives such as the provision of free school uniforms for pupils, establishment of new primary schools, and construction of health centres.
“You opened up the community. Your human development initiatives, fiscal reforms, and infrastructural programmes transformed Ejigbo LCDA. You have a passion for community development that will make you a valuable asset at the National Assembly,” Ajatta said.
The former banker and seasoned auditor also commended Bamigbetan for the partnership they shared during his tenure in the House of Representatives between 2003 and 2011.
He recalled that the collaboration between his office and Ejigbo LCDA facilitated the establishment of Primary Health Care Centres at Morning Star and Elemu under the National Primary Health Care Agency’s constituency project scheme.
“You demonstrated exceptional leadership by securing three landed sites for the proposed health centres through outright purchase by Ejigbo LCDA.
Without those sites, it would have been difficult to construct and equip two of the three proposed facilities. My efforts, alongside those of Senator Ganiyu Solomon, would not have yielded the desired results,” Ajatta stated.
Ajatta also expressed gratitude to Bamigbetan for his loyalty and support during his governorship primary campaign in Ondo State.
“You did not mind the distance. You travelled with me across Ondo State to solicit support. This is my opportunity to reciprocate your invaluable contributions to my political journey,” he said.
Responding, Bamigbetan appreciated the endorsement, describing Ajatta as a respected political leader whose support would further strengthen his resolve to offer quality representation to the people of Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II.
