Agege: Lagos State Health District Inaugurates Primary Health Centre

The Lagos State Health District 1 has officially inaugurated a newly renovated primary health center in Agege, with Permanent Secretary Dr. Funmilayo Bankole praising the state government’s commitment to investing in primary healthcare across the region.
During the inauguration event, Dr. Bankole encouraged Agege residents to take full advantage of the upgraded facility, highlighting the importance of accessible and quality healthcare for local communities.
“The Iloro Primary Health Care Centre is well equipped and safe for pregnant women to deliver their babies and other health related issues,” she said.
Ms Bankole also appreciated other major stakeholders present at the event, who played major roles in the renovation and face lift if the health centre.
The Medical Officer of Health Centre, Agege Local Government Area, Dr Olufunmilayo Ayegbusi, said it was a laudable development in Agege and a plus to the health care infrastructure development in the communities.
She said, “I am delighted to be part of this event and I also want to urge members of the Agege community to visit the centre often especially on issues relating to maternal and child health care.’’

The Supervisory Councillor for Health in the Agege Local Government Council, Gbolahan Owolabi-Dada, attended the event as a representative of the council chairman.
Numerous stakeholders and community members participated in the inauguration, further emphasizing the significance of the renovated facility for the people of Agege.
