– Another Hoodlums attack revives residents plea to secure Apakun garden

A late night attack has revived the agitation of the residents of Apakun, Mafoluku Oshodi to the government to urgently introduce security measures against the miscreants at Apakun garden under Airport bridge Under Bridge who attack citizens.
as some hoodlums reportedly rubbed and maimed another resident while returning to his residence from Apapa on Friday night.
Their latest victim, innocent Akpan was beaten black and blue and robbed while returning from work at the weekend.
He said he lost his valuables and sustained bruises on his body as a result of the attack narrating to ECHONEWS how a gang of seven hoodlums waylaid him.
Narrating his experience, Apkan said: “I was coming back from Apapa on Friday night, the traffic gridlock made the vehicle to arrive Oshodi at about 12am.
“I alighted at Airport Road Under Bridge so as to head to my house at Mafoluku, suddenly seven area boys emerged from Apakun under bridge, harassed, beat, dragged me into gutter and collected my bag, phone and all the valuables with me.”
According to him, nobody came to his rescue when he cried for help even after the miscreants had left since the area was dark and silent.
ECHONEWS had reported various attacks on innocent residents by the hoodlums at the scene, the residents have also called on the government to turn Apakun garden to a tourism centre and beef up security around the area.
