The daughters of late Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, have announced plans to take their acting and filmmaking careers more seriously as they prepare to continue their father’s legacy in the entertainment industry.

The sisters, Taiwo Halima Olamide, popularly known as Lima Ogogo, and Shakirat Olawunmi Taiwo, known as Kira Ogogo, made the announcement in a video shared on Instagram.

They also expressed appreciation to fans, colleagues, public figures and well-wishers who supported their family following the death of their father.

According to the sisters, the love and support shown to their family have encouraged them to step forward and establish themselves in the movie industry.

“You guys loved our daddy so much. This is an appreciation video to tell you people thank you. We are coming to the industry, and we’re here to stay,” they said.

Their announcement signals their intention to build their own careers while keeping alive the memory of a father whose contribution to Yoruba-language cinema earned him a special place in Nollywood.

Ogogo was widely recognised for his acting talent and his roles in Yoruba films. His death left a gap among colleagues and fans who had followed his career over the years.

With Lima and Kira now declaring their commitment to acting and filmmaking, attention will be on how they develop their talents, establish their identities and carry forward the family name in the industry.
