The Lagos ports are preparing to receive 15 ships carrying containers, petroleum products, food items and other goods, according to the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

The authority said the ships are expected at the Apapa and Tin Can Island ports between Friday, October 23, and Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

According to the NPA’s daily shipping report, seven of the incoming vessels will carry containers filled with various goods, while the remaining eight will transport bulk wheat, bulk salt, general cargo, trucks, diesel base oil and aviation fuel.

The authority also reported that five ships, including tankers, had arrived at the ports and were waiting to berth. Their cargoes include containers, transformers, petrol and general goods.

Meanwhile, 16 ships were already discharging cargo at the Apapa and Tin Can Island ports.

The goods being offloaded include wheat, base oil, fertiliser, trucks, fresh fish, sugar, steel, petrol, containers and other general cargo.

The latest arrivals and ongoing cargo operations highlight the continuous movement of imported goods through Lagos, Nigeria’s major commercial gateway.

The NPA monitors vessel movements and cargo operations at the ports as part of efforts to keep import and export activities running.
