Apply Now: Aliko Dangote Foundation Share Grant Initiative 2026
The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has opened applications for its Share Grant Initiative, a programme designed to promote financial inclusion, encourage savings and investment, and expand access to share ownership among eligible Nigerians.
The initiative provides support through share subscriptions in the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE, rather than through direct cash payments. It includes a student-focused scheme and a women-focused initiative, with eligibility requirements and participation procedures varying by category.
The programme aims to encourage responsible participation in Nigeria’s capital market and help eligible participants develop a stronger understanding of investing and long-term asset ownership.
About the Aliko Dangote Foundation Share Grant Initiative
The initiative is part of the Foundation’s efforts to promote financial inclusion by helping eligible individuals participate in the refinery’s public share offer.
Under the student scheme, eligible applicants who are at least 18 years old and enrolled in qualifying Nigerian tertiary institutions may qualify for an additional 10 shares funded by the Foundation after completing verification and personally applying for at least 10 shares through the designated subscription channel.
The women’s initiative has separate eligibility conditions and participation arrangements. Applicants should select the appropriate category on the official portal and review the requirements before proceeding.
Benefits of the Initiative
Eligible participants may receive support towards acquiring shares in Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE, subject to the applicable programme rules.
For qualifying students, the Foundation may fund a separate application for an additional 10 shares at no cost to the student. However, the grant is not a cash award, and neither participation nor the Foundation-funded application guarantees that shares will be allotted.
The initiative is intended to encourage financial literacy, savings, responsible investing and wider participation in Nigeria’s capital market.
