Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage has accepted a fight challenge from fellow singer and entertainer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni.

Teni issued the challenge in a video shared on her Instagram page, calling on the ‘Somebody’ singer to face her in a boxing match.

“Mama!!! Make we fight @tiwasavage. 3 billion later, I go apologise for outside the boxing ring,” Teni captioned the post.

Tiwa Savage responded shortly afterwards with a brief but direct acceptance.

“Pick a date,” she wrote.

The exchange quickly sparked reactions among fans, with the prospect of another celebrity boxing bout generating interest online.

The challenge comes less than 72 hours after former Big Brother Naija housemate Phyna defeated Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing in a celebrity boxing match.

The Phyna and Nkechi Blessing bout had drawn significant attention online, with the two entertainers trading punches in a highly anticipated celebrity showdown.

Teni’s challenge to Tiwa Savage has now added another possible celebrity clash to the growing conversation around entertainment figures taking their rivalries and playful exchanges into the boxing ring.
