Eight Teams Set For Honors At Inaugural Apapa Iganmu Inter-Ward Championship

The maiden edition of the Apapa Iganmu Inter-Ward Championship will see eight teams fight for honors and glory at mini stadium, whitesand, Iganmu Lagos.
The debut competition will kickoff on Saturday, October 24 at Apapa Iganmu with two matches slated for that day.
The competition founded by Balogun Toheeb Alabi (Success) gave out official team jerseys to each participating teams in order to have a colorful and impactful tournament.
APC Ward chairmen, party executives, leaders and stakeholders were present at the competition which aims to foster unity among youths and strengthen party bond ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) of Apapa Iganmu LCDA, Mr Ibrahim Olanrewaju Ahmed commended the sponsor Toheeb for providing a competition to engage the youths positively.
One of the organizers of the competition, Aremu Sunday Lawrence said the purpose of the competition is to showcase the youths in the neighborhood through a reputable platform while also giving back to the society by the sponsor.
The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the chairman of Apapa Iganmu LCDA, Prince Ganiyu Adetunji focused on the impacts of the championship which is to unearth promising talents and promote peace and unity among residents in the community.
Coach of Ward C, Debo Emmanuel Ogunfuyi lauded the effort of Toheeb for resuscitating football in the community and encourage other influential figures to follow suit.
Ward A, B, C, D, E, F, G and Success FC are you eight teams that will compete for the ultimate prize.
The knockout format will be used in the competition while winners of each match advance to the next round.
The competition will kickoff on October 24 and end on January 10, 2027.
