Funke Akindele Urges Nigerians To Keep Praying For Nigeria

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and continue praying for the country amid economic challenges.

Akindele made the call on Thursday while marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary in a video shared on her Instagram page.

The actress acknowledged the difficulties facing Nigerians but said the country remained their own and should continue to be celebrated.

“Today is Nigeria’s birthday, we have to celebrate despite what’s going on. Nigeria is our own. It’s my country, this is where I earn a living from,” she said.

Akindele urged Nigerians not to lose hope, expressing confidence that the country would eventually overcome its challenges.

“We’re going to keep celebrating Nigeria as our country. Nigeria will be great by God’s grace. Let’s keep praying for Naija,” she added.

Her message came as Nigerians marked the 66th anniversary of the country’s independence on October 1.
