U20 Women’s World Cup: Kareem Expresses Satisfaction With Falconets Group Phase Run

Nigeria U20 women’s national team star, Ramotallahi Kareem has expressed her satisfaction over the team’s run in the group phase of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.

The Falconets lost to Spain in their first game, played a stalemate against China and crushed New Caledonia to amass four points from three games in the group stage.

Kareem won the Player Of The Match (POTM) following her breathtaking hat trick which contributed to the 10-1 win against New Caledonia in Poland.

She said her primary responsibility on the pitch is to bang in goals while she’s proud of her goal scoring feat in the tournament.

“My job is to score goals and help the team, and I’m over the moon to have done that today,” Kareem told FIFA after the match.

She’s elated to register a hat trick in the competition as she hopes the Falconets gets past the next round against England on Thursday.

“I’m delighted with my hat-trick. Now we’re hoping to make a real impact after getting out of the group stage.”

Nigeria will face England in the round of 16 tie on Thursday as they hope to go past the knockout stage.

Falconets is the only African team remaining in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup as other teams crashed out in the group stage.
