Jakande Emphasize Commitment To Educational Services

The Chairman of OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Dr. Seyi Jakande has emphasized his commitment to the educational success of residents in the community.
He led the distribution of essential educational materials to 380 pupils in selected public primary schools across the council area.
The grassroots intervention, which he described as a direct response to the financial pressures facing parents ahead of the new academic session, saw school bags, sandals and writing materials handed over to vulnerable children in the community.
Dr. Jakande oversaw the strategic rollout across two key wards. In Ward C1A, represented by Hon. Rahmon Adisa, 200 beneficiaries were drawn from Ajegunle, Christ Centre, St. Paul’s and Kossy Bethel primary schools. In Ward B2, under Hon. Ipaye Ibrahim, 180 pupils from Nusaraudeen Primary School, Ayatunga, received the supplies.
Addressing stakeholders during the exercise, the council boss commended the participating lawmakers for embodying the core values of his administration’s HEWA Agenda. He emphasised that securing a resilient future through education demands collective responsibility from political office holders, parents and community leaders.
Dr. Jakande further urged other elected representatives across Lagos State to emulate the initiative in order to expand social welfare safety nets for more families.
The distribution drew a strong turnout of traditional rulers, religious leaders and state actors. Among those present were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Oluwagbeminiyi Awodogan; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Mujeeb Ayinde Daramola; Chief of Staff, Hon. Taiwo Ogungbe; Legislative Leader, Hon. Olamilekan Adeyi; and APC Party Chairman, Hon. Ismail Babatunde Kazeem.
Traditional authority was represented by the Baale of Ilupeju, Chief Idowu Orelaja, and the Baálé of Atewolara, Chief Ikudaisi. Officials of the School-Based Management Committees (SBMC), the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and local Islamic institutions also attended, affirming the inclusive development approach of the Jakande-led administration.
