Finova Africa is seeking an experienced Full-Stack / Backend Developer to manage, develop, and maintain its financial technology and core banking systems.

The successful candidate will work across backend and frontend development, financial integrations, databases, APIs, security, and production environments.

Full-Stack / Backend Developer – Core Banking Platform

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain backend and frontend applications.
* Manage databases, APIs, financial transactions, wallets, and financial integrations.
* Integrate banking, payment, KYC, and third-party services.
* Maintain system security, performance, reliability, and scalability.
* Troubleshoot system issues and manage production environments.
* Develop new features and improve existing systems.
* Ensure secure and reliable handling of financial transactions.
* Work independently to maintain and improve an existing production system.

Required Skills

* Laravel / PHP
* Flutter / Dart
* REST API development and integration.
* MySQL/PostgreSQL.
* Git and version control.
* Server and cloud management.
* Authentication and application security.
* Strong backend development experience.
* Experience with fintech or banking systems is an advantage.

Requirements

* Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience.
* Strong backend development experience.
* Ability to work independently and manage an existing production system.
* Good understanding of financial transactions and secure application development.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
