Davido Releases Lavish Visuals for ‘Tell Everybody’ After Adeleke’s Osun Victory
By Emmanuel Daniji
One celebration may have just ended, but Davido is already moving on to the next.
Following the victory of his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, in the 2026 governorship election, the Afrobeats superstar has returned to music with the official video for “Tell Everybody,” his romantic collaboration with American singer and producer Leon Thomas.
The song is taken from Davido’s latest album, Oriadé, and the accompanying visuals match the grand ambition of the record with an extravagant cinematic setting built around love, luxury and royalty.
A Love Song Meant to Be Heard
“Tell Everybody” is one of the more openly romantic moments on Oriadé.
Davido and Leon Thomas approach the song from the perspective of two men who have found someone special and are no longer interested in keeping their feelings private.
Davido drives home the central message with the declaration, “Tell everybody, you’re what matters to me,” turning the song into an unapologetic celebration of devotion.
Leon Thomas continues the story with a verse about opening up despite normally keeping his personal life private. His lyrics explore affection, loneliness and the emotional dependence that can develop when someone becomes an important part of your life.
Together, the two artistes create a record that is sensual but ultimately built around a simple idea: when love feels real, sometimes you want the whole world to know.
Davido Brings the ‘Oriade’ Royalty to Life
The music video takes that idea and places it inside an extravagant world.
Davido and Leon Thomas perform inside a grand ballroom surrounded by classical portrait paintings, ornate gold mirrors and an enormous crystal chandelier.
Davido opens the visual in a black velvet tuxedo before switching into a striking sky-blue suit with gold-trimmed lapels and dark-tinted glasses.
But perhaps the most noticeable detail is his crown-like embellished cap.
The styling appears to reinforce the central theme of Oriadé—a Yoruba expression associated with a crowned or royal head—giving the visual a direct connection to the identity of the album.
A Ballroom Fit for a Love Declaration
Leon Thomas brings his own interpretation of the luxurious aesthetic, appearing in a cream-patterned jacket, two-tone relaxed trousers and a black leather durag.
The two artistes trade verses within the mansion as dancers dressed in Victorian-inspired outfits transform the ballroom into a theatrical stage.
Their synchronised choreography moves across the expansive floor and down a sweeping wooden staircase, adding movement to a visual otherwise dominated by its grand architecture and elaborate styling.
The production uses dynamic camera angles to move between intimate performances and wider shots of the ballroom, allowing the scale of the setting to remain part of the storytelling.
From Osun Politics Back to Music
The release also comes at an interesting moment for Davido.
The singer has remained closely connected to the political journey of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, whose victory in the Osun governorship election provided another major moment of celebration for the Adeleke family.
Davido’s return with “Tell Everybody” shifts the spotlight back to his music, reminding fans that beyond the political excitement surrounding his family, his own artistic campaign continues.
The timing gives the release an interesting backdrop: one family celebration has ended, and another kind of celebration begins through music.
With its romantic theme, lavish production and royal visual language, “Tell Everybody” extends the world Davido created with Oriadé while giving one of the album’s standout love songs a visual identity of its own.
Love, luxury and a little royal treatment—Davido and Leon Thomas certainly did not keep this one low-key.
