Residents Hail Aruwe As Interlock Paving Stones Transform Oloje Street

Residents of Oloje Street in Papa Ajao, Mushin have hailed the chairman of Mushin LG, Mr Tunbosun Aruwe on the reconstruction of Oloje Street while expressing joy and relief as the laying of interlock paving stones continues, marking a significant improvement in their community.

The ongoing project, being executed by the council boss has brought renewed hope to the community. Many residents say the new durable road is already easing transportation challenges, reducing flooding during rains, and creating a safer, more organised street.

Community members have commended the Chairman for his sustained focus on infrastructure development, describing the intervention as a direct response to their long-standing needs.

Olabimpe Bayo, A resident who has lived on the street for over 15 years noted that the paving stones and the accompanying installation of solar-powered street lights are already making a noticeable difference in mobility and security, especially at night.

Residents and community leaders say the project reflects a responsive and people-centred approach to governance. They believe the improved road network will boost commercial activities, enhance connectivity within Mushin, and stimulate economic opportunities for local businesses.

The transformation of Oloje Street is being viewed as part of a broader urban renewal drive that is gradually changing the face of Mushin.
