Growtech West Africa 2027 Set for Landmark Debut in Lagos
Lagos is set to become the hub of agricultural innovation and agribusiness networking in West Africa as the inaugural edition of Growtech West Africa prepares to make its debut in January 2027.
Scheduled to take place from January 26 to 28 at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, the three-day exhibition is expected to bring together thousands of industry stakeholders, investors, policymakers, researchers, technology providers, and agribusiness professionals from across the region and beyond. The event is being positioned as one of the largest agriculture and agri-tech gatherings ever hosted in West Africa.
Organised by Informa Connect in partnership with the internationally recognised Growtech brand, the exhibition aims to connect global agricultural expertise with the rapidly expanding West African market, creating opportunities for investment, innovation, and collaboration across the agricultural value chain.
According to the organisers, Growtech West Africa 2027 is expected to attract more than 5,000 visitors, over 100 exhibitors, and at least 50 international speakers who will share insights on emerging trends, technologies, and sustainable solutions shaping the future of agriculture. The event will feature more than 20 seminar sessions covering critical areas of food production, agribusiness development, climate resilience, and agricultural financing.
The exhibition comes at a time when West African nations are intensifying efforts to strengthen food security, improve local production capacity, and reduce dependence on imported food. With the region spending billions of dollars annually on food imports, stakeholders are increasingly seeking innovative solutions to boost productivity and build more resilient food systems.
The event will showcase innovations spanning crop farming, horticulture, livestock, poultry, aquaculture, fisheries, irrigation systems, greenhouse technologies, agricultural machinery, precision farming, agri-tech solutions, food processing, and supply chain management. Organisers say the exhibition will provide a unique platform for businesses to connect directly with decision-makers and buyers actively seeking new technologies and services.
A major highlight of the event will be the Food Security and Sustainability Conference, which will bring together government officials, development partners, investors, researchers, and industry leaders to discuss key challenges facing the sector. Discussions are expected to focus on increasing agricultural productivity, promoting climate-smart farming practices, enhancing water efficiency, improving access to finance, and strengthening regional food security.
Speaking on the significance of the initiative, organisers noted that West Africa represents one of the world’s fastest-growing agricultural markets, driven by population growth, urbanisation, and rising demand for food. They believe the platform will play a critical role in accelerating agricultural transformation and fostering strategic partnerships capable of unlocking the region’s vast agricultural potential.
As preparations gather momentum, Growtech West Africa 2027 is already attracting interest from exhibitors, sponsors, and industry stakeholders eager to gain access to one of Africa’s most promising agribusiness markets. With Lagos serving as the commercial gateway to West Africa, the event is expected to reinforce Nigeria’s position as a key player in the region’s agricultural development agenda.
