Veteran Yoruba Actor Okiki Adesina ‘Janmole’ Is Dead

The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of veteran filmmaker and comedian Okiki Adesina, popularly known as Janmole.

 

The actor reportedly died in a fatal road accident on Monday, according to reports.

 

The sad news was announced by Bolaji Amusan, President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, in a tribute shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday.

 

Expressing grief over the loss, Mr Latin prayed for the repose of the late actor’s soul and asked God to grant his family, friends and colleagues the strength to bear the painful loss.

 

He described Janmole’s death as a tragic development and noted that the late entertainer would be greatly missed by the movie industry and those who knew him.

 

Janmole was a respected figure in the Yoruba movie industry, known for his contributions as an actor, filmmaker and comedian.

 

His death comes nearly four years after he survived a fire accident along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, an incident that attracted concern from colleagues and fans at the time.

 

Tributes have continued to pour in from members of the entertainment industry and admirers mourning the loss of the veteran actor.
