Apapa Iganmu LCDA Boss, Saliu Reveals Ambitious Plan For Sports

Chairman of Apapa Iganmu LCDA, Mr Jimoh Olawale Saliu has unveiled a positive roadmap for sports development.
The council boss who’s popularly known as Olugbani said he has transformed sports in Apapa Iganmu LCDA since he resumed office as chairman of the council.
Saliu stated that, his investments in sports have yielded results as both the men and women’s team have won three trophies as he reveals plans of sponsoring both teams for international competitions outside the country.
“Since I started last year, I’ve done a lot in terms of youth and sports, precisely sport. And both the girls and boys have performed wonderfully well.
“My ladies have won about three trophies, ditto the boys. I will still support them at least before the end of my first tenure for one of these international competitions.”
The council boss noted, there will be indoor games competition before the end of this year including track and field for athletics athletes.
“I have to ask for indoor game, at least that will come towards the end of this year. I have plans for the track and field, being a sportsman, I understand what it means.”
Saliu however maintained a close lips of another brainstorming sporting event that will take place in Apapa Iganmu LCDA which he believes will drive grassroots sports forward in council area.
“Yes. I don’t want to break the yoke now, with time, I’ll do the press conference for that. I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag now.”
The Senior Special Assistant on sports to the chairman, Prince Ganiyu Adetunji said he has utmost belief and trust in Mr Jimoh Saliu to position sport as a pride of honor in Apapa Iganmu LCDA.
