Today, as family, friends, political associates, and residents of Oriade Local Council Development Area gather to celebrate Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede on the occasion of his 49th birthday, it is more than a personal milestone. It is a celebration of a life dedicated to service, leadership, and the unwavering pursuit of community development.
Born on May 19, 1977, into the vibrant Ibasa/Ijegun-Egba community of Lagos State, Hon. Olojede’s journey has been defined by resilience, determination, and an uncommon passion for grassroots transformation.
From an early age, he demonstrated a strong sense of purpose and commitment to excellence, qualities that would later shape his remarkable journey in public service. Armed with academic discipline and a deep desire to contribute meaningfully to society, he pursued higher education with diligence, earning a Master’s Degree from the University of Lagos—an achievement that prepared him for the complex demands of governance and administration.
But beyond academic accomplishment, Hon. Olojede’s true classroom has always been the people.
Long before assuming the highest political office in Oriade LCDA, he immersed himself in the realities of grassroots administration, understanding firsthand the challenges faced by ordinary residents and the practical solutions needed to address them.
His appointment as Supervisor for Works between 2017 and 2022 marked a defining chapter in his public service career. In that role, he became known for his hands-on approach to infrastructural development, helping to facilitate critical projects that improved roads, public spaces, and essential community facilities.
His sterling performance naturally paved the way for his emergence as Secretary to the Local Government, where he further demonstrated administrative excellence, strategic coordination, and an unrelenting commitment to service delivery.
Then came a defining moment in his political journey.
With the overwhelming support of the people, Hon. Olojede emerged victorious in the Lagos State Local Government Elections, and on July 27, 2025, he was sworn in as the Executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA.
Since taking office, his administration has reflected the very values that have long defined him—vision, accessibility, humility, and purposeful leadership.
Under his watch, Oriade LCDA has witnessed notable strides in road rehabilitation, youth and women empowerment initiatives, healthcare interventions, security enhancement, and people-centered developmental programmes designed to uplift communities and improve quality of life.

Beyond the demands of public office, Hon. Olojede remains a devoted husband to Mrs. Oluyemi Evelyn Olojede and a loving father, balancing public responsibility with family values.
