Bamigbetan Declares for Oshodi-Isolo II Reps Seat, Presents JAMB Forms to 100 Students
A frontline aspirant for the House of Representatives seat of Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency II under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kehinde Bamigbetan, has formally declared his intention to contest the forthcoming party primaries, pledging loyalty to the party and commitment to grassroots development.
Bamigbetan made the declaration in Ejigbo during the presentation of JAMB forms to 100 beneficiaries, describing the gesture as a preview of the education-focused representation he intends to deliver if elected.
“As our great party consolidates on the Renewed Hope Agenda, I present myself as the most prepared and loyal aspirant to secure Oshodi-Isolo II for the APC,” Bamigbetan said. “This presentation of JAMB forms is not just a symbolic act; it reflects my enduring commitment to education and youth empowerment.”
He recalled his previous attempts to represent the constituency, noting that he stepped down in 2015 and 2023 in deference to party directives.
“In both 2015 and 2023, I sacrificed my personal ambition for party unity and allowed the incumbents to complete their second terms. I believe loyalty, discipline, and sacrifice remain the pillars of party strength, and I trust that these will be given due consideration in the forthcoming primaries,” he stated.
Bamigbetan highlighted his extensive public service experience, including his tenure as Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA (2008–2014), Chief Press Secretary to the Governor (2005–2007), Commissioner for Information & Strategy (2018–2019), Special Assistant to Senator Segun Baju (1992–1993), and his current role as Special Adviser to the Minister of Solid Minerals Development.
“These positions have equipped me with a deep understanding of governance at both the state and federal levels. I understand the workings of the National Assembly and the civil service, and I am fully prepared to advance the President’s agenda while defending the interests of Oshodi-Isolo II,” he said.
Unveiling his 10-point agenda, Bamigbetan promised to remit 30 percent of his monthly salary to party structures across local, state, and federal levels; provide quarterly grants to Community Development Associations; support cooperatives, traders, artisans, and unions; and promote youth-focused initiatives.

“I will institute quarterly constituency briefings to render an account of my stewardship. Transparency and accountability will define my representation,” he assured.
He also pledged to attract impactful constituency projects, collaborate to ensure the conclusion of the bill recognising the 57 local governments in Lagos State, introduce people-oriented legislation, and organise bi-annual entrepreneurship programmes to stimulate job creation.
“I am not only prepared to serve; I am prepared to win decisively for our party. My grassroots network and longstanding engagement across Oshodi-Isolo II positioned me strongly to secure victory in the general election,” he added.
Bamigbetan concluded by seeking the support and guidance of party leaders and stakeholders as he embarks on his quest to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives.
“I respectfully seek your support as we work together to deliver this seat and deepen development in Oshodi-Isolo II,” he said.
