Court Remands Man Over Alleged Sexual Assault On Teenage Boy

A 28-year trader, Okonkwo Chikwado, has been taken to Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for trial after he was alleged to have sexually assaulted a 15-year-old boy.
During the court proceedings, Chikwado who resides at 2, Asake Street in Ishashi area on Lagos was said to have commited the offence on July 14, at his residence, by during the teenager to his house under the pretence of wanting to send him on an area after which he has anal penetration, as disclosed by the police prosecutor, Adegoke Ademigbuji.
Ademigbuji added that the defendant, who standing trial for sexual assault charge shut the door on the boy and allegedly sexually molested him,thereby, contravening section 261 of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.
The Magistrate, Lateef Owolabi, who did not take the defendant’s plea, ordered his remand in Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution.
Owolabi subsequently adjourned the matter until October 22.
