The Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe, has continued his administration’s aggressive desilting and refuse-clearing campaign across the council area, with the latest exercise taking place along Ishaga Road, Idi-Araba.
On Thursday, October 2, 2025, council workers cleared bulk refuse heaps near the Central Mosque, opposite the filling station, to ease traffic flow, improve hygiene, and avert refuse-induced flooding in the community.
Hon. Aruwe reaffirmed his administration’s zero-tolerance stance on indiscriminate dumping of waste, urging residents to refrain from blocking drainages and littering unauthorized spots. He emphasized that maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy Mushin remains a top priority of his government.
He assured residents that waste management operations will be further intensified, with sustained efforts to keep drainage channels clear and ensure timely clearance of refuse across the council.
