The Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has alerted the public about fraudulent individuals demanding money in exchange for securing teaching jobs with the Lagos State Government.

TESCOM’s Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Bopo Oyekan Ismaila, who issued the warning, cautioned the public not to fall prey to scammers who claim they can help with applicant shortlisting or sell teaching positions within the commission.

She explained that the online application process for the recruitment of teachers into the Lagos State Public Service has just concluded, and the shortlisting of candidates has not yet begun.

The Permanent Secretary stressed that the recruitment process is strictly based on merit and involves no financial transactions.

She urged the public to ignore messages being circulated via WhatsApp and other social media platforms requesting payment from applicants in exchange for job slots or dashboard access for shortlisting updates.

She also encouraged everyone to remain cautious and vigilant to avoid becoming victims of these scams.
