The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates for the upcoming 2025 Lagos LGA/LCDA elections in Alimosho Local Government Area have received a major boost as the Council of Baales in the area has declared their full support.
At a meeting held on Monday, June 30, 2025, the traditional rulers unanimously endorsed Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, the APC Chairmanship candidate, along with his running mate, Hon. Adebisi Francis, and the councillorship candidates across the seven wards of Alimosho.
The royal fathers pledged their commitment to ensuring the APC team secures victory in the elections scheduled for July 12, 2025. Their endorsement is seen as a strong signal of community backing and grassroots mobilization for the ruling party’s candidates.
During the gathering, Hon. Akinpelu expressed appreciation for the endorsement and acknowledged the solid leadership of the current Chairman, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon, under whom he serves as Vice Chairman. He assured the Baales that, if elected, his administration would build upon the existing foundation and improve the welfare of both traditional leaders and residents.
He further promised to enhance salaries, benefits, and general well-being for all stakeholders, stating that his administration would “raise the bar” in service delivery and governance across the local government.
The endorsement marks a significant moment in the campaign, strengthening APC’s prospects ahead of the crucial local elections.
