The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate for Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mrs. Adetola Abubakar, has pledged to lead with a servant-leader approach if elected, vowing to prioritize inclusive governance and community-focused development.

Speaking during the official inauguration of the APC Campaign Council in Alapere, Lagos, Abubakar reaffirmed her commitment to a leadership style rooted in humility, collaboration, and public engagement.

“I am honored to witness this milestone in our collective journey towards a greater Agboyi-Ketu,” she said. “As a servant-leader, I will create a platform where every opinion matters. Inclusive development will remain our guiding principle.”

A long-time advocate for teamwork and grassroots participation, Abubakar encouraged members of the campaign council to embrace creativity and innovation in advancing the party’s message across the LCDA. She urged them to deepen community engagement and highlight the APC’s development vision ahead of the local government elections.

Also speaking at the event, incumbent Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, praised Abubakar and her running mate, Yomi Ganiu, describing them as dedicated and competent members of his cabinet. He noted that their active involvement in the administration has made them well-positioned to sustain the council’s progress.

“Their track records speak for themselves,” Oshinowo said. “They have played vital roles in the successes we’ve recorded in Agboyi-Ketu, and I have no doubt they will consolidate on these gains.”

He highlighted landmark projects delivered under his tenure, describing them as a testament to the APC’s prudent resource management and commitment to people-oriented governance. According to him, these achievements will resonate with voters and reinforce the party’s prospects—not only in the local polls but also in the build-up to the 2027 general elections in support of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Our projects speak louder than words,” he added. “They are our campaign tools, and they show our capacity to deliver.”

Oshinowo also charged the campaign team with fostering inclusiveness and accommodating party loyalists and residents who share in the APC’s vision for continued progress.

Director-General of the APC Campaign Council, Alhaji Sunday Odekomaya, echoed the call for unity and grassroots mobilization. He urged members to maintain internal cohesion and intensify door-to-door campaigns across the wards.

The event concluded with the presentation of official appointment letters to members of the campaign council, formally flagging off APC’s electioneering activities in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.
