Lagos Agog As Afusat Olabimpe Abiodun Female Gold Cup Reaches Last Eight

The fourth edition of the Afusat Olabimpe Abiodun Female Gold Cup hits climax in Lagos as it enters the quarter final stage in Ikorodu.
The competition ranks as one of the top grassroots women’s football competitions in Lagos that have seen budding young stars who have gone on to play professionally in and outside the shores of Nigeria.
Ablaze Amazon will kick start the 2025 Afusat Olabimpe Abiodun Female Gold Cup quarter final with Dominion Queens on Monday, February 10 by 2pm at Police Barracks, Ikorodu, while Victory Queens take on STM Doves by 4pm same day.
The second quarter final fixtures will see the clash between UFC Talent and Assamokee Ladies on Tuesday, February 11 by 2pm, Ayisat Yusuf FA will square up against Unification Ladies by 4pm.
As the tournament reaches its last eight, the convener, Mr Adeoye Abiodun has revealed a motivational token of N10,000 for the Player Of The Match (POTM) and a scroll in each game from the quarter final.
While the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament will go home with a whooping N100,000 and a chance to further her career in Egypt or Saudi Arabia women’s topflight league.
Goalkeeper of the tournament will go home with N25,000, Best referee N10,000, Highest Goal Scorer (HGS) N25,000, and Coach of the tournament N10,000.
