Anomo Charges Council Officials Economic Prosperity On Budget Consolidation

The Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo has charged Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Councils officials to make sure that the 2025 budget is a full reflection of the wills, aspirations and demands of the people of Ikosi-Ejinrin especially in terms of Economic Prosperity and Infrastructural development which is why the budget has been christened “budget of Consolidation and Sustainable development.”

 

Akogun made this Statement while declaring the 2025 budget retreat open. The retreat which is an essential activity done as a follow-up to work on the noted demands of the people during the budget Stakeholders held earlier last month.

 

Anomo used the medium to appreciate all Stakeholders, Executive Cabinet, Legislators, Management, Staff and the good people of Ikosi-Ejinrin for their cooperation since the administration began in 2021 while soliciting the continuity of the support till the First phase of the administration ends and the second phase will start.

In her Welcome address, said the essence of the budget retreat is to critically examine the financial status of the local government, improve on the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and utilize the allocation from the federal and state governments in bringing new innovations to the local government attesting to the Progressive nature of the Chairman, she solicited for all round support especially in the area of Internally Generated revenue.

 

The Council Manager, Mr. Sunday Awobajo commends the Council Chairman for his leadership style and for creating an enabling atmosphere for all and for always putting the interest of the people at heart as he declared, “I am fulfilled working with you and couldn’t have wished for any better, as you are indeed a boss which all wish for.”

 

Awobajo implored all stakeholders to bring in propositions which could assist the Council generate more in the area of IGR in order to efficiently and effectively serve the people as he hoped the Budget of Consolidation and Sustainable development will be one which will perform optimally.

 

The retreat gives all departments, units, revenue officers and other participants the ample opportunity to make inputs and contributions with the aim of positioning the council success.
