Yesterday, Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale, a distinguished member of the State Governance Advisory Council (GAC), visited the SOS Village in Isolo to donate food items and cash, concluding his 80th birthday celebrations.

During the donation presentation to Mr. Abraham Ajegoke, Acting Programme Manager of the SOS Village, Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale explained the significance of the event.

He stated that celebrating his 80th birthday would feel incomplete without demonstrating love and support for the village’s residents, especially given the current economic challenges in the country. Opting for a charitable gesture instead of a lavish party, Chief Ajomale’s decision reflects his compassion and commitment to making a positive impact in his community.

The Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area Mr. Olasoju Adebayo warmly welcomed the octogenarian, accompanied by notable figures such as Otunba Jide Oni, Alhaji Mukaila Ajao, Barrister Kayode Ademiluyi, and Princess Olateru Olagbeji, among other members of the Birthday Committee.

Also present to receive the celebrant were local councillors led by Hon. Akeem Adeyemi Alarape and Exco members headed by the council vice chairman, Hon. Shakir Sadiq. This gathering of esteemed individuals from the council and community demonstrates their collective commitment to supporting important causes and recognizing the contributions of respected leaders like Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale.

Earlier in October, the celebrations for Chief Ajomale’s 80th birthday had already commenced, with a focus on distributing palliatives to approximately 7,000 homes across Oshodi/Isolo LGA. The flagship event was held at his residence in Okota on Saturday, October 6th, reflecting his commitment to helping those in need.

This initial round of palliative distribution was aimed at alleviating the impact of economic challenges faced by residents within the local government area. By organizing such an event, Chief Ajomale demonstrated his dedication to supporting the community and addressing their needs during difficult times.
