Lekki LCDA Boss Empowers 50 Fishermen

The Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (RBK) has thrown support to indigenous fishermen through distribution of 100yards of fishing nets and accessories to 50 beneficiaries.

 

The event, held in Lekki, was part of ongoing efforts to empower the fishing community, improve their livelihoods, and enhance sustainable fishing practices.

Engr. Kasali addressed the fishermen, highlights the importance of their role in the local economy and the need for modern tools to increase productivity.

 

He emphasizes the distribution was a step towards ensuring that fishermen in Lekki have access to better resources, which would in turn improve their yield and contribute to the overall economic development of the area.

The distribution event saw a large turnout of fishermen, who expressed their gratitude for the LCDA’s continued support.

 

The initiative is expected to strengthen the fishing industry in Lekki, providing much-needed assistance to those who depend on the trade for their livelihood.
