A man is facing prosecution for an alleged sexual assault on his 10-year-old daughter.
The accused, Lucky Ugwuka, 38 year’s old, was arrainged at the Badagry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Ugwauka, according to the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Ayodele Adeosun, is facing a count charge of defilement.
Adeosun said that Ugwuka commited the offence on August 16 at about 6:00pm at Abapasha Street in Ojo Lagos.
The prosecutor also added that the offence is a violation to Sections 139, 263, and 58 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Presiding Magistrate, Patrick Adekomaiya, granted Ugwauka bail in the sum of N500,000. He also ordered that two sureties must be provided to perfect the bail conditions.
Furthermore, Adekomaiya ordered that the sureties must be Level 14 officers in the civil service.
He adjourned the case until September 30.
